Our high school and early college years were filled with spending time together on the weekends with a fun group of friends. After a couple years of college, Pete moved to Texas to pursue a degree in aviation and I stayed in Georgia. We stayed in touch and would see each other occasionally at best.
The spring of my senior year at UGA, Pete came back to Georgia for a visit and we reunited. Two months later he was sitting with my family at my college graduation and we proceeded to spend the next few days bumming around Athens, GA and catching up on old times. In less than a month, Pete and I went out on our first date and seven weeks later we were engaged!

One year to the day after my college graduation, Pete and I were married and began our life together - following after God's call on our lives and seeking His direction as we pursued aviation.

I moved out to Texas and quickly began work at LeTourneau University, where Pete was completing his flight and maintenance training. We stayed in Texas for four years preparing for our next steps and researching aviation organizations. Before we knew it, we had our answer MAF - Mission Aviation Fellowship!

After interviews, meetings, evaluations, and much prayer - we are officially on MAF staff as a pilot/mechanic family. We couldn't be happier and are so grateful for God's faithful and specific call on our lives to work overseas using Pete's talents as a pilot and my desire to build community with national women and children.
