It's a Wrap!

Our first week of Candidacy classes at MAF has come and gone.  It was a week of learning, playing, growing, and praying!  Pete and I truly enjoyed this first week here at MAF. We have made some friends that I believe we will have for life (and some we may even serve with overseas - more about that next Tuesday!)

For lunch, the entire MAF Nampa Office joined us for hamburgers and a "get to know you" time. It was great to hear some of their stories and get some fun advice from people who have been their before.

At this point in our journey we have had one meeting with the Candidate Committee and are awaiting our next meeting with the committee, as it will be the time of official acceptance and regional assignment.  Earlier today we all learned that the committee members have met and assignments have been made.  This is A LOT to hear before breaking for the weekend.  I can only speak for Pete and myself, though I believe this is true for the rest of the candidate class, that we are beyond excited for the assignments to be revealed next Tuesday and preparations/location study to begin!

Please be in prayer for the couples in our Candidate Class:
Matt and Ellie Scheer
Eric and Kristine Reed
Pete and Joy Neal
Rich and Megan Harrell
Kevin and Tasha Spann
Pete and Ashley Greenwald

Candidacy Couples and STA Friends
We covet your prayers and encouragement during this process.

In the Life of Cade:
Upon returning back to the apartment today, Cade and I had some amazing time of snuggling and giggling!  For those of you who know our son, he is not one to really "cuddle", but today he just snuggled right in to my side and we had a good hour of bonding time.  After a long week of classes and being away from Cade during the day, this time was sweet and precious to me.  I cannot believe how much he has grown and that he is closing in on his 6 month of life...  WOW, where has the time gone?

Monkey and Momma!

That's it for now, but we'll keep you updated as the journey continues...
