Week One: Day Three

Every Wednesday is Chapel day here at MAF headquarters.  Today we heard about a horse ranch up the street that ministers to kids in whatever need they may have.  It was good to hear of other ministries in the area and how they help one another.
After Chapel, Pete and I learned more about two other areas where MAF is operating and how we partner with affiliates/nationals who have taken over former MAF bases.  It is great to see how God is growing and building many areas up and equipping nationals to do the work!  Praise the Lord, for He is good!
We also learned about Business as Mission and what that looks like with MAF and in the different countries/people we serve.  Again, it is amazing to see how God opens doors and allows His name to be proclaimed.
This afternoon was spent measuring Pete for his helmet and with the Candidate Committee.  As always, they helped answer more of the questions we had and allowed us a time to share our hearts on where we feel called, our skills and abilities, and what God is showing us through all of this process.  We left our meeting reassured, once again, that God has called us here and that He will use the people on the committee and the program directors to help place us where we will be utilized best!  We are grateful for the thoughtful and wise opinions of those who will seek His face in assigning us to a region.

In the Life of Cade:
Today Cade and Tori went on another stroll around the MAF base.  According to Tori, Cade loves being outside - this is no surprise to us!  After our meeting, I came back to our apartment and picked Cade up so I could share his smiles, giggles, and furrowed brow with some the people in the office.  As usual, he was a hit!

Our love and prayers.
